Missing teen found dead: police

Winnipeg police have confirmed a 15-year-old boy who had gone missing in late May has been found dead.

Inuka Gunathilaka was missing since May 24.

His sister told the Free Press on May 31 that police had suspended their search for him after locating a body near the Red River.

The family are members of the city’s close-knit Sri Lankan community, who along with his loved ones, had conducted searches for the missing teen.
