Alabama, Nitty Gritty coming to 2024 Countryfest

Dauphin’s Countryfest is turning back the clock for its 35th annual event next June.

Legendary country music groups Alabama and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will take the stage at the Selo Ukraina venue south of Dauphin June 28-30, 2024.

Jo Dee Messina, Mark Chesnutt and the Great Canadian Roadtrip group that features Michelle Wright, Manitoba’s Doc Walker and Jason McCoy are also on the bill, which was announced Friday morning.

Patricia Conroy, Lisa Brokop and Beverley Mahood, three stars of Canadian country music from the 1990s join in the festivities as well as U.S. supergroup the Frontmen, which includes Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, Richie McDonald of Lonestar and Tim Rushlow of Little Texas

Concert and camping passes go on sale Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at countryfest.ca or 1-800-361-7300. A pre-sale for Countryfest members began Oct. 23 and ends Nov. 3.
