HOUSTON (AP) — Jonathan Cisse’s 21 points helped Texas Southern defeat Mississippi Valley State 93-61 on Monday.
Cisse added five rebounds for the Tigers (4-11, 2-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Grayson Carter added 19 points while going 7 of 10 and 4 of 4 from the free throw line, and he also had eight rebounds. Kenny Hunter shot 8 of 11 from the field to finish with 16 points.
Rayquan Brown finished with 24 points and 17 rebounds for the Delta Devils (0-17, 0-4). Mississippi Valley State also got eight points from Arecko Gipson. In addition, Danny Washington finished with eight points and two steals.
