EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Ray’Sean Taylor’s 18 points helped SIU-Edwardsville defeat Tennessee Tech 74-57 on Saturday night.
Taylor also added eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals for the Cougars (12-9, 5-3 Ohio Valley Conference). Desmond Polk shot 6 for 8, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc to add 14 points. Shamar Wright went 6 of 12 from the field to finish with 13 points, while adding 10 rebounds and three steals.
The Golden Eagles (7-14, 2-6) were led in scoring by Josiah Davis, who finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Kyle Layton added 10 points and two steals for Tennessee Tech.
