RCMP investigating after woman found dead on outskirts of Lynn Lake

Manitoba RCMP are investigating after a woman was found dead in suspicious circumstances on the outskirts of a remote town in the province’s northwest.

RCMP at the Leaf Rapids detachment were called to the town of Lynn Lake just after 8 a.m. on Thursday, after the woman was found.

Mounties found and identified the woman, 40, and pronounced her dead at the scene.

RCMP say her death is still being investigated by the local detachment as well as major crimes and forensics officers, while Mounties wait for autopsy results.
