Homicide victim identified

Police have identified Winnipeg’s latest homicide victim. On Feb. 3 at about 3:15 a.m., 43-year-old Charles Danny Chartrand of Winnipeg, was found unresponsive at a residence in the 200 block of Fountain Street. He later died in hospital and his death is being investigated by the Winnipeg Police Service homicide unit.

On Monday, police issued a news release stating they’ve notified Chartrand’s family of his death. Investigators are asking anyone with video surveillance or information to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508, Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477, or leave a tip online at winnipegcrimestoppers.org
