VANCOUVER – The city of Vancouver says it’s unsure about the final breakdown of costs associated with hosting seven 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.

In 2022, the city and province pegged the total costs of planning, staging and hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, including renovations to B.C. Place Stadium, at approximately $240 to $260 million.

Contingency, including inflation – $52 million

Venues – $40 million

FIFA Fan Festival – $20 million

Host City office, administration and volunteer services – $15 million
