HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) — Szymon Zapala scored 17 points including the go-ahead basket with 26 seconds left in overtime to lead fifth-seeded Longwood over top seed High Point 80-79 on Saturday in the Big South Conference Tournament semifinals.

Zapala added six rebounds and three blocks for the Lancers (20-13). Walyn Napper scored 16 points and added seven assists and three steals. Elijah Tucker shot 5 of 5 from the field and 3 for 6 from the line to finish with 13 points.

The Panthers (25-8) were led in scoring by Kezza Giffa, who finished with 32 points. Duke Miles added 15 points for High Point. Trae Benham finished with eight points and two steals.

Michael Christmas scored nine points in the first half and Longwood went into halftime trailing 36-29. Longwood pulled off the victory after an 8-0 second-half run erased a six-point deficit and gave them the lead at 69-67 with 1:19 remaining in the half. Zapala scored 14 second-half points.
