Crews respond to fires on Keewatin St., Selkirk Ave.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to the 400 block of Keewatin Street Friday for reports of a fire spreading from a truck trailer to a single-storey commercial building.
When crews arrived shortly after 6:16 a.m., the trailer was fully involved in fire and heavy smoke and flames were coming from the building.
The fire was declared under control at 10:38 a.m.
Shortly before midnight Friday, crews also attended a fire in a two-storey, mixed-use building on the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Once on scene, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. The fire was declared under control at 1:09 a.m. Friday.
Both fires remain under investigation.
