Two arrested after Ness Avenue robbery

A man and woman from Winnipeg are facing charges after allegedly robbing gas bar employees at knifepoint Thursday morning.

Winnipeg police responded to the 1600 block of Ness Avenue at 7:15 a.m. after money and tobacco products were stolen from the business.

The two employees were not injured.

Police say both suspects were arrested at a residence on the 500 block of Richmond Street Friday. The stolen property and large knife believed to have been used in the robbery were recovered.

A 52-year-old man and 50-year-old woman are facing charges. They were released on an undertaking.
