Tuxedo residents have until Thursday to register or update their information to ensure a voter information card for the provincial byelection will be mailed to them.
Eligible voters who have not already received their cards, or received a card with incorrect or out-of-date information, can go to electionsmanitoba.ca or contact the returning office at 3525 Roblin Blvd.
The voting process is faster if residents take their voter information cards to the poll, Elections Manitoba said in a news release Wednesday. A voter without a card can still register and vote during advance voting and on election day.
Election day is June 18. The advance polling stations at the returning office and at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2255 Grant Ave.) will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from June 8 to June 15. The sole exception is June 9, when the hours are noon to 6 p.m.
Tuxedo voters who will be away on election day and during advance voting can apply for absentee voting here or the returning office. The deadline to apply is 8 p.m. on June 15.
Voters who are unable to go to a polling place because of a disability or because they are caregivers can apply to vote at home here or the returning office. Applications must be received at the returning office by 8 p.m. on June 17.
