RCMP are treating the death of a 24-year-old Flin Flon man as a homicide.

The body of Trevin Steele was found in a home in the northern town Sunday.

RCMP said the man’s family described him as “polite and well-mannered, fiercely protective of his family and close friends, and (he) had a soft compassionate soul. The people who were close to him shared a special bond, and those people will carry him in their hearts forever.”

Steele was last seen on the morning of May 24 in Creighton, Sask. He was reported missing four days later.

The family has asked anyone with information about his whereabouts around the time of his disappearance to contact Flin Flon RCMP at 204-687-1422, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or manitobacrimestoppers.com.
