Man seriously assaulted near Central Park

Winnipeg police are investigating after a man was seriously assaulted near Central Park just before noon Tuesday.
Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said officers were sent to the 400 block of Kennedy Street between Sargent and Cumberland avenues at about 11:50 a.m.
Police found a man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering serious injuries. Michalyshen said the incident is being investigated as a possible stabbing.
Paramedics rushed the man to hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been made.
