Minor train derailment in River Heights

A minor train derailment led to traffic snarls at two rail crossings in River Heights on Monday.
The derailment resulted in traffic being blocked in both directions at both Grant and Taylor avenues near Lindsay Street starting at about 11 a.m.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd. said the rail cars remained upright and that there were no injuries or dangerous goods involved. Traffic was blocked for about 40 minutes, a spokesperson said Tuesday.
The affected cars were back on the rails and had moved by Monday afternoon.
