RCMP are searching for two suspects after a man was shot in a road-rage incident in Thompson.
Officers were sent to the scene of the collision on Perch Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday and were told while driving there that a possible gunshot was heard.
Officers found a 47-year-old injured man and gave him emergency care. He was transported to a hospital, where he was treated and has since been released.
Investigators determined the man had been driving a pickup truck that was involved in a collision with a SUV, and the driver of the SUV followed the man to a home. A male suspect — one of two people in the SUV — exited the vehicle, pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
A neighbouring residence was hit by the gunfire, but nobody inside was hurt, police said.
The driver of the SUV drove off.
Thompson RCMP are searching for the two suspects. They do not have confirmed descriptions to provide, a Monday news release said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online.
