The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have officially signed quarterbacks Jake Dolegala and Bryan Scott to boost the depleted ranks and join the practice squad.
They’ll compete to help fill the void caused by Chris Streveler’s season-ending injury. Three of the four major ligaments in his left knee were torn by a low tackle from Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Miles Brown during the Banjo Bowl on Sept. 7.
Dolegala, 27, is 6-7 and 242 pounds and joins the Blue and Gold after being released by the B.C. Lions earlier this season. He has spent the last three seasons in the CFL, starting in 11 games and appearing in 24 while throwing for 2,968 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 112 yards and one major score.

Quarterback Jake Dolegala, shown playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2023, has signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to fill in for injured backup QB Chris Steveler.
Scott, 29, is 6-2 and 220 pounds. He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts, dressing for all 18 games in 2023 and all nine games in 2024 before his release. In 2024, Scott threw for 79 yards on five completions, one being a 40-yard touchdown pass.
Winnipeg (7-6) is coming off a bye week and returns to action on Saturday in Edmonton against the Elks. The team also released American receiver Josh Johnson Monday.
