YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg has expanded a program providing youth ages 13 to 17 with free access to its facilities during designated times.
The Open Y program launched at the downtown location on Vaughan Street in July and is now in place at all four facilities, the organization said in a news release Thursday.
The new program dates are Fridays from September to June. The times are 7 p.m. to close at the Fermor, Portage and Kimberly avenue locations, and 5 p.m. to close at the downtown location.
The program is supported through funding from the City of Winnipeg and United Way.
