Police seized a loaded handgun and arrested a 21-year-old man they found unconscious in a hallway of a south Winnipeg apartment building during a well-being check on Saturday morning.
At about 11:20 a.m., officers went to an apartment building in the 300 block of Stan Baillie Drive to check on the well-being of several occupants. They found a man unconscious in a common area hallway, and while they were dealing with him, a loaded gun fell out of his waistband onto the floor. Police say the man refused to identify himself but was identified during the fingerprinting process.
Malcolm Christian Lado, 21, faces several weapons charges, as well as attempting to obstruct justice and nine counts of breaching conditions of a release order.
