Pedestrian dies, driver flees after Poplar River collision

RCMP are asking for witnesses to come forward after a man was found dead on a road early Thursday.

Police were sent to Southside Road in Poplar River First Nation at 2:20 a.m. A 43-year-old area man, who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, was declared dead at the scene. The driver was gone before police arrived.
