26K plastic health cards sent out

More than 26,000 new plastic health cards have been distributed.
The province began mailing out the cards, replacing the old paper version, just over two weeks ago.
“We are ramping up production, with daily numbers increasing in April,” a spokesperson for the provincial government said in an email Tuesday.
More than 270,000 Manitobans had applied for a new card as of Monday.
Manitobans were invited to apply for a replacement online Jan. 15. The NDP government promised to introduce plastic replacements in last year’s provincial budget.
Martin Short replacing Jim Gaffigan on comedy fest lineup

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, which is happening at Assiniboine Park July 18 to July 20, announced Wednesday that co-headliner Jim Gaffigan will be unable to perform because of unforeseen circumstances.
Canadian comedy legend Martin Short will co-headline with U.S. standup John Mulaney and take Gaffigan’s place on July 19.
All existing tickets remain valid. Refunds — available only on single-show tickets for the July 19 date — will be available from Wednesday to Monday. Email info@greatoutdoorscomedyfestival.com for details; ticket buyers should receive an email regarding the change and possible refunds.
