The Winnipeg Sea Bears have signed 6-8 power forward Jaylin Williams to a contract for the upcoming Canadian Elite Basketball League season.

The 24-year-old joins the Sea Bears after a solid campaign with the Denver Nuggets’ G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold, where he averaged 8.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.2 minutes across 35 games. The signing also means Williams will reunite with his G League teammate Tevian Jones, who agreed to a deal with the Sea Bears last month.

Williams enjoyed a five-year career at Auburn University, earning a reputation as a consistent and versatile player while being named All-Southeastern Conference Second Team for the 2023-24 season. He left the Tigers as the program’s all-time leader in games played (141) and 21st in all-time scoring with 1,305 points.

Williams now forms a solid tandem with Canadian center Simi Shittu in the Sea Bears’ frontcourt.
