Alabama country singer Riley Green — the man behind such hits as There Was This Girl and I Wish Grandpas Never Died — has replaced Jason Aldean as the headliner for the Country Thunder concert taking place at Winnipeg’s Princess Auto Stadium on July 10, True North Sports and Entertainment announced Thursday.

The country-themed night’s opening acts remain the same: Tyler Hubbard, Nate Smith and Madeline Merlo. The event is the second in a two-night series: the Rockin’ Thunder event on July 9 features Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Foreigner and Toque.

Aldean was unable to perform owing to a scheduling conflict, according to True North. The controversial country star is still on the bill for the Country Thunder show in Craven, Sask., on July 11.
