Suspicious death probed after man found outside Swan River home

Swan River RCMP are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found injured outside a home early Thursday morning.

Officers were called just after 4 a.m. to the residence in Swan River — about 486 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg — where they discovered a 46-year-old man with injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is being led by Swan River RCMP, with support from RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services.

Police say there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
