Winnipeg Jets coach Scott Arniel is among the three finalists for the Jack Adams Award, presented to the National Hockey League’s top coach.
This season was Arniel’s first as head coach of the Jets. He led the club to franchise records in points (116) and wins (56), as the Jets won their first-ever Presidents’ Trophy for having the NHL’s best record.
The franchise also won its first division while based in Winnipeg, something the old Jets franchise never accomplished.
Spencer Carberry of the Washington Capitals and Martin St. Louis of the Montreal Canadiens are the other nominees for the coaching award.
This is the first time Arniel, 62, has been a finalist for the award. Rick Bowness, the Jets’ former head coach, was nominated after the 2023-24 season.
