One hurt when minivan, school bus collide 

A teen driver was taken to hospital in unstable condition after a minivan collided with a school bus in the Fairfield Park area.

Police were contacted about the collision on Keslar Road just south of Langley Bay shortly after 3:25 p.m. Wednesday.

The crash happened outside Richmond Montessori School, at 85 Keslar Rd.

The school bus did not sustain significant damage, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Thursday. The 17-year-old driver of the minivan has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The grey minivan had been driven in the area of Lee Boulevard, south of Bison Drive between Pembina Highway and Waverley Boulevard, before the collision, the WPS said. Police asked anyone with information or video about how the minivan was being driven before the crash to contact investigators at 204-986-7085, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.

More information about the crash “will be provided at a later date,” the release said.
