Weston fire sends one to hospital

One person was taken to hospital in stable condition after a house fire in the Weston area Tuesday night.

Crews were sent to the bungalow on the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. and declared the fire under control roughly 10 minutes later. Everyone inside got out before crews arrived.

“Firefighters rescued a pet lizard from the house,” the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said in a news release Wednesday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
