Provincial police say they’ve found human remains believed to be connected to an ongoing murder investigation in Simcoe, Ont.
Police say the remains were found in a wooded area off Highway 6 in Haldimand County around 6 p.m. Thursday, and an autopsy to confirm the identity and cause of death is scheduled for Friday.
Anyone who was in the area on Oct. 5 between 10:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. is asked to contact police if they observed any suspicious activity.

Last week, police arrested a 45-year-old man on a second-degree murder charge after a woman was found dead in a Simcoe home on Oct. 5.
OPP later confirmed the suspect was the son of the dead woman.
Police have said they are searching for a 49-year-old man in the investigation who is missing and was last seen on Oct. 4.
