Restaurant staff assaulted

A 24-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting three restaurant workers in the 1100 block of Main Street Saturday afternoon.
Winnipeg police said a woman had been causing a disturbance at the restaurant at about 3:48 p.m. Oct. 18 and when she was asked to leave, she assaulted employees, at one point using a key as a weapon. Several patrons stepped in to help staff until police arrived, the Winnipeg Police Service stated in a news release Sunday afternoon.
A woman is in custody following an assault on three employees of a restaurant in the 1100 block of Main Street. All three employees were treated on scene for minor injuries.
Anika Janae Acoby-Dowan is charged with two counts of assault and assault with a weapon. She was taken into custody.
