A driver was killed when his vehicle veered into the opposite lane on Highway 59, colliding with a semi-truck Tuesday morning.
RCMP were sent to the crash site — north of the intersection with Provincial Road 311, in the Rural Municipality of Hanover — at 8:50 a.m.
A southbound vehicle driven by a 76-year-old Grande Pointe resident collided with the northbound truck, police said in a news release Wednesday. The man’s passenger, a 73-year-old woman from the same community, suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital by STARS air ambulance.
