WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Jets have signed captain Adam Lowry to a five-year, US$25-million contract extension.
The Jets announced the news of the deal Wednesday night. The contract, which carries a $5-million average annual value, kicks in next season.
Lowry has played his entire 12-year NHL career in Winnipeg, serving as captain since 2023-24.
The 32-year-old centre from St. Louis, whose current deal carries a $3.25-million salary cap hit, has produced 122 goals and 154 assists in 782 games.
Lowry also finished in the top 10 in voting for the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward in each of the past two seasons.
The Jets drafted him in the third round, 67th overall, of the 2011 NHL draft.
