Two more pistachio products recalled

10:48 AM

Two more kinds of pistachio products sold in Manitoba have been recalled because of salmonella.

Both were available in Winnipeg, at Blady Middle Eastern at 1324 Portage Ave. Pistachios and baklava containing pistachios were sold there from April 23 to July 11, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s website states. The two recalls were issued Friday.

The agency said earlier this week that 11 products had been recalled. Those products were sold to hotels, restaurants, institutions, manufacturers and retail stores.  They were also distributed in other provinces.Enayat Farms and SSJ are among the brands.

More information about the food recalls is available online.
