CGI, a giant IT and business consulting services firm, has acquired Winnipeg-based Online Business Systems.

The Montreal corporation announced the deal Wednesday. It didn’t disclose financial terms.

More than 350 employees across Canada and the United States will join CGI, the company said in a news release. It has no immediate workforce changes planned.

Online Business Systems began in 1986. It focuses on cybersecurity and digital transformation strategies. Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Salesforce are partners, its website reads.

The Manitoba government recently inked a deal with Online Business Systems to sell provincial park passes and hunting and fishing licences. The contract came after years of using an American company.

CGI counts 94,000 consultants and other professionals. Its reported revenue for the 2025 fiscal year is $15.91 billion.
