The Winnipeg Sea Bears have signed the best player in CEBL history.

The club announced early Thursday that it has signed three-time CEBL Player of the Year Xavier Moon to a contract for the 2026 season.

Moon and head coach/general manager Mike Raimbault spoke to journalists later that morning.

The point guard led the Edmonton Stingers to back-to-back CEBL titles in 2020 and 2021 and was named Finals MVP on both occasions.

The 2021 CEBL scoring champion and steals leader went on to play 28 games in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers between 2021 and 2024.

The 30-year-old grew up in Alabama and played college ball at Morehead State.

“I believe adding Xavier to our organization brings tremendous value both on and off the court. He’s a proven winner and someone who has shown he can excel in this league and at the NBA level,” Raimbault said in a statement.

“He’s a true professional who understands the importance of our community and our fans, and we’re confident the impact he makes off the court will be just as significant as what he brings on it.”
