MONTREAL – WSP Global Inc. reported net earnings attributable to shareholders of $256.3 million in the fourth quarter, up from $166.9 million during the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, its net earnings attributable to shareholders came in at $1.96, up from $1.28 during the prior-year quarter.
The Montreal-based engineering firm says its revenue came in at $4.85 billion, rising year over year from $4.66 billion.
WSP Global says that as of Dec. 31, its backlog reached a new record of $17.1 billion.
On Tuesday, the company said it completed its acquisition of U.S.-based engineering, consulting and construction firm TRC Companies.
The all-cash deal was announced in December of last year and was valued at $4.5 billion.
