WINNIPEG – NFI Group Inc. reported net earnings of US$166 million during the fourth quarter, up from US$18.6 million during the same period last year. 

On a per-share basis, its earnings amounted to US$1.39, up from 16 cents US during the prior year quarter. 

The Winnipeg-based bus maker, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says revenue reached US$1.03 billion during the fourth quarter, up year over year from US$837 million.

Meanwhile, revenue from NFI’s manufacturing segment was US$871.7 million, rising 28.2 per cent from the fourth quarter last year. 

NFI announced a CEO change in December of last year that took effect at the beginning of 2026. 

John Sapp, CEO of NFI Group, says he has spent the last 75 days getting a deeper understanding of the company, which saw operational improvements during the quarter.
