One patient assessed in North End house fire

One person was assessed by paramedics after a house fire in the North End Sunday afternoon.

Fire crews responded to reports of a fire on the 300 block of Magnus Avenue at 4:42 p.m. The fire was declared under control by 5:08 p.m.

Paramedics assessed one patient but no transportation to hospital was necessary. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to provide temporary shelter to residents.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
