Suspect sought in downtown assault

Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was attacked and hurt while trying to help a man who collapsed near Logan Avenue and Main Street in March.

The 45-year-old woman was standing outside the 600 block of Main when she saw the man, believed to have overdosed, on the ground, a monday police release said.

She tried to help and called 911.

Police said as she made the call a man attacked and robbed her of her phone and smartwatch. She suffered minor injuries.

Police released a photo of the suspect Monday and asked the public to help identify him. He is described as five-foot-10, with neck and hand tattoos and short hair. He was clean shaven and was wearing a black jacket and black jeans.
