A 41-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after human remains were discovered inside a vehicle at a property in Riverton.
On Tuesday, Gimli RCMP were called to a property in the community, 130 kilometres north of Winnipeg, and found human remains inside of a vehicle after a search, said an RCMP news release Thursday.
The victim was identified as Darryl Lambert, 39, who had been reported missing last month, police said.
Riverton man Richard Lea, 41, has now been charged with second degree murder.
He was remanded in custody.
