RCMP ask for public’s help in Thompson homicide investigation

RCMP Major Crimes investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying a male person of interest in connection with the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man from Leaf Rapids on May 20.

On Sunday, RCMP released two photos of a person of interest they are seeking to identify. On May 20, at 2:20 a.m., Thompson RCMP were called to the report of a stabbing in an open area off of Princeton Drive in Thompson. The victim was taken to hospital, where he died. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the person of interest or may have any information about the homicide to call the Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909/6911, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
