RCMP probe death of man in Lynn Lake

RCMP are investigating a slaying after an 18-year-old man died in Lynn Lake.

Police were sent to a residence in the community Saturday at 5:30 a.m. after a report of an unresponsive man, a Monday news release from RCMP stated.

Officers were told the man had been involved in an ATV collision.

He was sent to the community’s nursing station and was later pronounced dead.

Police said an investigation determined the man was not in an ATV accident and his death was the result of a homicide.

The investigation continues.
