Three people have been charged in connection with drug trafficking in Manitoba as police seized more than $10,000 worth of drugs, nearly $150,000 worth of jewelry and $200,000 in cash.

Winnipeg Police Service officers executed a search warrant May 12 at 9 a.m. at a residence on the 200 block of North Haven Way in West St. Paul. A 28-year-old man was arrested and high-end jewelry and clothing was seized, along with about $200,000 in cash.

About an hour later, a 28-year-old woman was pulled over near the scene and was taken into custody.

At about the same time, a 26-year-old man was stopped while attempting to leave a residence on Mount Auburn Bay in Winnipeg on a scooter. About 145 grams of cocaine and 150 grams of cannabis were found in his possession and seized.

All three face a charge of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The 26-year-old man has also been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

All three were released pending court dates.
