OTTAWA – Ottawa police say a former church pastor is facing a dozen charges in a historic sexual assault investigation involving minors.
Police say the 64-year-old suspect served as a pastor at the Chinese Christian Church of Ottawa from 2001 to 2005.
They say he was also a pastor at the Toronto Chinese Mennonite Church from 1996 until 2001.
They say he’s been charged with two counts of sexual assault with a weapon and three counts of sexual exploitation, among other charges.
Police did not specify the dates of the alleged offences, but say they’re concerned there could be additional victims.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
