RCMP responded to two collisions near Grandview on Saturday including one where an SUV ended up in a river.

On Saturday just before noon, Dauphin RCMP were called to a crash on Highway 366 where a van lost control after hitting gravel and flipped, said an RCMP release Monday.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

Later on at 4:10 p.m., RCMP received a report an SUV had gone off Highway 5 and into a nearby river, said the release.

The Grandview Fire Department and EMS responded, rescuing a 25-year-old man from the roof of the SUV, said RCMP.

Police said the driver was towing a cattle chute when he lost control while coming over a hill, and ended up in the river. No injuries were reported.

RCMP said no charges are expected.
