MARKHAM – York Region police say they have charged a 61-year-old psychologist in a sexual assault case involving a child at a clinic in Markham, Ont.
Police say the child went to an appointment in the area of John Street and Bayview Avenue last week.
There, police allege the psychologist gave the child a massage and touched them inappropriately.
They say the child was not physically harmed.
Police say they searched a residence in Markham on Saturday and charged the 61-year-old with sexual assault and sexual interference.
Police believe there may be more victims and have released a photo of the accused on the force’s website.
