KELOWNA – Mounties say the body of a woman has been found in the back of a vehicle in Kelowna, B.C.
RCMP say in a statement that they responded to a report on Tuesday of suspicious circumstances in the 800 block of Baillie Avenue.
They say the discovery and the circumstances of the woman’s death are suspicious.
A man who was known to the victim was taken into custody at the scene.
Police say the man has been released but must abide by a number of reporting conditions.
Kelowna’s serious crime unit has taken over the investigation and police say it is working to determine the events leading up to the woman’s death.
