TORONTO – Brookfield Capital Partners LLC has made a new offer to buy Reliance Worldwide Corp. that values the Australian company at about C$4 billion.
Reliance owns a portfolio of plumbing products with operations around the world.
Brookfield has made an unsolicited, non-binding, indicative proposal including a cash offer of A$4.75 per RWC share.
Reliance says the proposal is up from earlier offers by Brookfield of A$4.15, A$4.25 and A$4.50 cash per RWC share.
The Australian company says it has entered a process with Brookfield and agreed to exclusivity restrictions as it works with it on terms of a deal.
However, Reliance cautioned there was no certainty the proposal would result in a deal and recommended shareholders take no action in relation to the offer.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published Aug. 18, 2026.
