Woman, 40, charged in Peguis First Nation slaying

A 40-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a man on Peguis First Nation last year.

Fisher Branch RCMP were called to a home in the community at about 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2025, where a 59-year-old man was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead and RCMP Major Crime Services took over the investigation.

On Monday morning, police arrested Spence without incident at a Peguis First Nation home.

She was remanded into custody.
