Canada’s Derek Gee has withdrawn from the road world cycling championships.
Cycling Canada made the announcement Tuesday.
Gee suffered a broken rib in a crash Sunday at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal.
The world road championship event is being held in Montreal.
Guillaume Boivin, of Montreal, will replace Gee in the men’s elite road race Sunday.
Boivin is a three-time national champion.
