VICTORIA – Rachel Macatee has been named chief executive officer of Triathlon Canada after serving in the role on an interim basis since February.
The national sport organization announced the appointment Wednesday.
Macatee joined Triathlon Canada in 2017 and took over leadership of its sport development team in early 2018.
She previously served as team manager for Canada’s Paralympic triathlon program through the Tokyo and Paris Olympic cycles.
During her tenure as interim CEO, Macatee oversaw increased revenues and the return of the Canadian Championships to Victoria.
She will continue to oversee the organization’s operations, finances, partnerships and athlete development programs.
