Today — In Ottawa, the Conference Board of Canada will release its index of consumer confidence, and Statistics Canada releases retail trade data for October.
Tuesday — In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases October employment insurance data as well as payroll, employment, earnings and hours figures. In Washington, U.S. real GDP and corporate profits for the third quarter will be released, as well as U.S. existinghome sales for November.
Wednesday — In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases October data for gross domestic product.
Thursday — In Washington, U.S. initial jobless claims for the week of December 19 will be released, as well as U.S durable goods orders for November.
Friday — Christmas day, markets closed.
